Fancy a breath of fresh air ?
Located in Haute Maurienne Vanoise, near the Val Cenis ski area, the Chalet de la Fontaine offers two 4-star self-catering cottages with all modern comforts, open all year round, in a peaceful and unspoilt setting.
Our recently built chalet (2016) offers:
- The Mont-Cenis holiday home, an apartment for 8 people
- The Parrachée holiday home, an apartment for 6 people
This high-quality property combines the charm of traditional Alpine architecture (slate roofing, stone, timber cladding) with the modern comforts expected for a successful stay in the mountains.
♿ Accessible holiday cottages for people with reduced mobility in Haute Maurienne
Le Chalet de la Fontaine is particularly well-suited to accommodating people with reduced mobility : single-storey holiday cottages, a reserved parking space in the immediate vicinity, easy access and practical facilities. Each cottage has a sunny outdoor terrace with a garden, allowing guests to make the most of the mountain setting.
Complete comfort for your stay in the mountains
For your convenience, a range of facilities are available:
a ski room with boot dryers, a bike room with a workshop, a fishing area, and a washing machine and tumble dryer. Parking spaces are available right outside the chalet, and a locked garage can be provided on request.
Located in a peaceful village in the Haute Maurienne Vanoise region, the chalet offers easy access to the Val Cenis ski area via the inter-village shuttle buses. To make your arrival easier during the school holidays, our rentals run from Sunday to Sunday, allowing you to avoid the Saturday rush and make the most of your stay in the mountains.

Who are we ?
Originally from the Metz area, our personal and professional journeys have taken us from Nancy to Lille, then on to New Caledonia, before we settled permanently in eastern France, particularly in Alsace, where our family grew with the arrival of Coline (2001) and then Léna (2005).
As keen sports enthusiasts and passionate mountain lovers — having been members of the CAF Moselle and then the CAF Colmar — we have for many years shared a passion for paragliding (since 1995) and travel, which has taken us to the four corners of the globe: Australia, Morocco, Chile, India, the United States…
Drawn ever more to the great outdoors, we decided to settle in the Maurienne Valley in 2008, where we quickly fell in love with the Haute Maurienne.
Today, we make the most of this exceptional playground: ski touring (often accompanied by Mango, our White Swiss Shepherd), downhill and cross-country skiing, mountain biking on alpine trails, road cycling over the great mountain passes, not to mention paragliding, which we love to combine with hiking, whether solo or tandem.
Any questions about the region or the activities?
We’d be delighted to chat with you and share our tips to make your stay unforgettable.

A truly inclusive welcome, all year round
Our aim is to ensure that the mountains remain a place for recreation and rejuvenation that is accessible to everyone, without exception.
Because accessibility should never be a barrier to getting away from it all, we have designed our holiday cottages to be fully adapted for people with disabilities. Certified under the ‘Tourisme et Handicap’ scheme for various types of disability (mobility, visual, hearing and intellectual), our accommodation guarantees optimal comfort and greater independence.
But our commitment goes beyond the facilities: we also offer, free of charge, warm and friendly support to ensure everyone can fully enjoy the mountain activities. In summer, we can organise Joëlette outings on the Alpine trails, and in winter, Stéphane can offer introductory sessions on tandem skiing.
